ADAM HESTER

Adam Hester got his start behind the decks in ‘96, rocking jungle, breakbeat and house as a resident for Catalyst Crew and the Root of the Hill in Boulder and Denver CO, playing raves big and small into the early 2000s. After a decade long side quest into live music playing guitar, drums, and singing, he got back in the DJ booth in 2011 joining the Denver Vintage Reggae Society to bring the Mile High City the best in foundation Jamaican sounds at events around the city. Adam is a serious student of Sound System Culture with a record collection to prove it, over two decades spent diggin’ crates any chance he got and adding to the arsenal. Most recently he has joined forces with the Black Box and original Konkrete Jungle resident Cassien to host Konkrete Jungle Mile High every fourth Friday. A diverse selector, Adam plays jungle/D’n’B, reggae and dancehall, 140, and UKG, infusing everything with a heavy Jamaican influence to keep the dance hot, as well as fiercely supporting local producers and DJs from the 303.
